Cookies
Without your consent, the Happy Heroes site only sets cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work: a session cookie, which keeps you signed in to your account; hh-locale, which remembers the language you chose (1 year); hh_ebay_jeton, which links an order placed on eBay to your account when you scan the QR code on the flyer in your parcel (7 days); and an access cookie, hh_gate, which remembers the site’s entry code when access to the site is restricted (30 days). In addition, an anonymous audience measurement cookie, exempt from consent, is set as described below.
Because these technical cookies are essential to the service you request, your prior consent is not required. You can still refuse or delete them from your browser settings — signing in to your account will then no longer work.
Anonymous audience measurement. Without any consent being required, we also set a first-party cookie, hh-visite (30 minutes after the last page viewed), used solely to count visits in aggregate and to identify the steps at which a purchase is abandoned. It contains a randomly generated visit identifier and where the visit came from, with no IP address and no identity; the data is not shared with any commercial or advertising partner and is kept for 13 months. This measurement, limited to this site, is exempt from consent (Art. 82 of the French loi Informatique et Libertés, CNIL guidelines). Details are given in the privacy policy.
Audience measurement. We use Google Analytics to find out which pages are viewed and where our visitors come from. These cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>, 13 months) are set only after you agree: a banner asks you on your first visit, and no Google script is loaded until you accept. Declining changes nothing about your browsing or your orders. Your choice is kept for six months and can be changed at any time from the “Cookies” link in the footer. The controller for this processing is Google Ireland Limited, which may transfer data outside the European Union under the Data Privacy Framework.
Advertising measurement. With the same consent, we use Google Ads to find out whether an order follows one of our Google ads (_gcl_au and related Google cookies, 13 months at most). Without your consent, nothing is set and no data is sent to Google.
Journey analysis. With the same consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used (clicks, scrolling, pages that cause trouble) and to improve it. The fields you fill in (address, email, payment) are masked and never recorded. If you are logged in and have also given your “Tips and alerts made for me” consent, the visit is linked to an encrypted account identifier, never to your name or email address; without that consent, it stays anonymous. Cookies _clck (1 year) and _clsk (1 day). The controller for this processing is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, which may transfer data outside the European Union under the Data Privacy Framework.
Pay in instalments. With the same consent, we display PayPal’s pay-in-instalments offer on product pages (“Pay in 4 instalments, interest-free”). To do so, your browser loads a PayPal script, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Without your consent, nothing is loaded and the banner is not shown. The controller of this processing is PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg).
